Creating Realistic Textures with Colored Pencil
From the soft marshmallow texture of Peeps to the crinkled gold foil on the chocolate bunny, you’ll explore how pressure, layering, and edge control bring each surface to life.

Optional Solvent Techniques for Smooth Transitions
Learn how to incorporate (or skip!) solvent blending to create seamless gradients and polish your colored pencil work without losing detail.
You’ll stretch your skills by stepping outside your comfort zone—exploring unexpected color combinations and complex textures in a fun, supportive environment.

Learn how to layer unexpected hues—from subtle greens to fiery oranges and glowing yellows—to depict realistic gold foil. We’ll explore how reflective textures behave and how to bring them to life within a playful still life arrangement.

Build Confidence in Texture and Transition Techniques
Master the art of rendering contrasting surfaces, from the shiny crinkle of foil to the soft fuzziness of Peeps marshmallows. You’ll refine your skills in layering, color shifts, and edge control using colored pencils on high-quality paper, with optional use of solvent for smooth transitions.
